Job Description


GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Conducts the assessment, examination, and validation of claims in accordance with established audit criteria. Communicates audit findings for further actions, adhering to organizational protocols and procedures within the framework of retrospective quality control review in the risk and governance domain. Analyzes processed claims and inquiries, identifying necessary corrective measures, which may involve claim adjustments. Executes corrective steps utilizing enrollment, benefit, and historical claim processing data. Translates claims in foreign languages into English using appropriate software and coding methods.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluate the completeness and accuracy of claim information and input/validate claims data.

• Address claim edits (suspensions), review historical records, and ascertain service benefit eligibility. Assess payment levels to determine the final payment outcome.

• Achieve compliance with production and quality benchmarks.

• Escalate issues to the appropriate supervisory level when necessary.

• Maintain precise records, including timekeeping documentation.

• Fulfill other assigned or requested duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in any field.

• Freshers – Exposure to claims processing is advantageous.

• Typing speed of a minimum of 50 words per minute.

• Fundamental computer skills (MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Proficiency in following instructions and navigating multiple systems concurrently.

• Familiarity with administrative and clerical procedures, including word processing, file management, and recordkeeping.

• Competence in using mathematics to adjudicate claims.

• Problem-solving abilities within predefined methodologies and guidelines.

• Understanding of operating systems specific to claim processing.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Flexible work location, either from the office or home, based on situational demands.

• Adherence to Indian or US holiday schedules as per client specifications.

• Willingness to work in shifts as required by the client.

• Acceptance of split week-offs and availability to work on Saturdays based on situational demands
